Revenue down but beats its outlook

Intel has announced its third quarter 2023 financial results, reporting a revenue of $14.2 billion with a 45.8 percent gross margin, and $0.41 EPS. The report shows Intel getting back on track and steady progress on its IDM 2.0 strategy.

Core Raptor Lake Refresh comes as i9-14900K, i7-14700K, i5-14600K

Intel has now officially launched its Core Raptor Lake Refresh desktop processors which will be known as the Intel Core 14th Gen series. Launching at the same price points as the 13th gen counterparts, the Core 14th gen promises up to 23 percent better gaming performance compared to the competition, and up to 54 percent better performance in creator workflows.

Aimed at 1080p gaming

Intel has officially launched its new Arc A580 desktop graphics card at $179. Aimed at mid-range market gaming, the Arc A580 promises to deliver a playable framerate at 1080p resolution with medium to high graphics settings.

Performance increase for multiple titles

Intel has released the Intel Graphics Driver 31.0.101.4885 with support for Arc A-Series Graphics and Iris Xe Graphics GPUs. These are beta drivers but also bring Game On driver support for Forza Motorsport and Assassin’s Creed Mirage on Arc A-series graphics cards.

Intel will retain a majority stake

Intel said it will treat its programmable chip unit as a standalone business and wants to spin it off through an IPO in two to three years.

Big win for Europe

A moment ago, Intel´s CEO Pat Gelsinger announced the start of high-volume manufacturing on the Intel 4 process technology at Fab 34 in Leixlip, Ireland.

Dual socket 576 E-cores

Intel surprised the audience at the Innovation 2023 event, showing a new Sierra Forest data center processor with a twist. Intel has previously announced that the Sierra Forest has up to 144 Efficiency cores. Still, Gelsinger surprised the audience by showing the two tiles on the same package, resulting in a 288-core CPU.
