Bad cabling and batteries

Apple's MacBooks are bedevilled with power problems, according to AppleInsider.

The magazine claims that Apple is set to introduce new 85-watt MagSafe adapters for MacBook Pros after complaints about fraying cables on the adapters. The flexibility of the power cable resulted in fraying at the connection point and some have smoked and sparked.

Meanwhile Apple's battery update doesn't appear to have fixed problems with automatic shutdowns and batteries that have less capacity after the update was installed.
