Has Atom N280

Although Asus Eee PC product manager told us that Asus was set to consolidate its Eee PC range this year, it seems like she might've been given the wrong message considering how many new Eee PC models Asus has already launched this year.

The latest addition is the 1002H which shares its keyboard design with the recently launched 1000HE, although the look and feel of the 1002H is more of the S101H except in white. This is in line with what we were told by Asus and we'd expect to see more models that are similar in design to the 1002H.

The processor has also been bumped up to an Atom N280, although at this time it's unknown which chipset the 1002H is using, as Asus has yet to add the chipset spec on their website. Other features include the standard netbook spec 1GB of RAM, a 160GB SATA hard drive, a 1.3Megapixel webcam, a memory card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, a D-sub connector, an Ethernet jack and a pair of audio jacks.

The 1002H measures 264x181x27.6mm (WxDxH) and weighs in at 1.2kg. Asus claims 5h of battery life which isn't anything out of the ordinary. Pricing and launch date are currently unknown.
