F1 2010 to get patched

by on27 October 2010

Will fix corrupted save file issue
Despite the stronger than expected start for F1 2010 by Codemasters, the title has had many users up in arms over a corrupted save file bug that seemed to elude the developers. Apparently Codemasters has figured out the issue and addressed a number of other bugs reported by users in a number of forums.

According to what we are hearing the patch has already been submitted to both Microsoft and Sony for approval and they expect approval to come quickly. The patch does include a number of other enhancements and fixes to address the complains by the user community, but right now we don’t have a complete list of what all it will fix beyond the resolution of the save file issue.

Codemasters does seem to admit that there were a number of bugs that needed attention. There is no word yet on when a patch might be released for the PC version, but it is suspected that the PC version will get another patch as well once the console versions are released.
