Angry Birds in glorious 3D?

Angry Birds developer Rovio has announced that it has bought Futuremark Games Studio.

The studio is the gaming arm of Futuremark, best known for its 3Dmark benchmark suites. Interestingly, Futuremark Games Studio developed a few games which features zero-G physics, much like the latest installment of Angry Birds.

As for Futuremark itself, the outfit says it will stay focused on benchmarking software and the new version of 3Dmark, set to appear by the end of the year, will offer cross-platform support on a bunch of form factors.
