Firefox comes in third

Google’s Chrome browser has managed to eclipse Redmond’s Internet Explorer in global usage.

According to StatCounter, Chrome’s share hit 32.76 percent in May, while IE trailed in second with a 31.94 percent share. Firefox ranked third with a 25.47 share, while Safari and Opera got about 7 and 2 percent respectively.

This is the first time that Chrome managed to squeeze past Internet Explorer, but it is still going strong and it might increase its lead even further.
