Ouya gets unboxed, full frontal nudity

by on28 December 2012

Tiny and translucent

The Ouya Android console is about to launch for the great unwashed, but a small number of devs who kicked in $699 should be getting their consoles right about now.

The outfit posted an unboxing video on Youtube, showing off the translucent console with a pair of gamepads. The tiny console can be taken apart with relative ease, revealing a tiny PCB with an active cooler, which is somewhat surprising.

The console ships with batteries, power adapters, HDMI adapter and micro USB cord and a letter of thanks to developers who thought it was worth spending $699 on. We doubt the retail version will ship with all the goodies.

Take a peek after the break.
