Ghost PC specs announced

Leaves us scratching our heads

The official specs to run Call of Duty Ghosts have been confirmed by Infinity Ward. They are not really much different than those rumored by Nvidia a littler earlier this month.

Still the required specifications left us scratching our heads a little bit. The need for a 64bit OS and 6GB of RAM seem more than a little weird. It is a given that most people that are going to play this game have more than 6GB of RAM and are likely running a 64bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8, but we can only guess that these requirements are to help eliminate support headaches by adopting a standard platform bar for PC players.

Minimum System Requirements for Call of Duty: Ghosts

OS: Windows 7 64Bit / Windows 8 64Bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX: DirectX 11
Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online Multiplayer.

Still Infinity Ward is recommending a rather powerful systems to power their latest COD title, but it is far more than the requirements that EA & DICE are set on for Battlefield 4 when it ships next week.
