Foxconn wants bigger slice of notebook market

According to a report on Forbes, Quanta Computer's Cheif Exectuive, Michaek Wang has quit, but this isn't the big news here, but rather one of the reasons why he's leaving.

According to Wang, Quanta Computer's which is one of the worlds largest OEM/ODM notebook manufacturers, is looking to sell out to Hon Hai Precision, more commonly known as Foxconn.

If this is indeed true, then Foxconn will grow its share of the notebook market immensely and it should quickly become a top player.

There are no hard facts in teh Forbes report, but Foxconn has spent a lot of money and might be looking at spending some more.
