Google wants businesses and regulators throughout the world to
adopt international standards for protecting consumer privacy.

chief privacy officer, told Associated Press that the privacy crusade had
nothing to do with the DoubleClick deal.
He said that people were looking
to Google to show some leadership and be constructive.
