Alienware has announced that Area-51 m5550 notebook will be available with 64 Solid State drives. You can choose between one 64GB drive or two in RAID 0 configuration.

When compared to the standard drives solid state drives offer higher shock resistance, higher performance and speed and most important, they consume up to 50% less power when compared to the standard drives.

If you want two of these babies in your Area-51 m9750 notebook, you will have to pay an massive $1,500 extra, that is if you compare it to the 2x200GB 16MB cache SATA 7,200 NCQ drives.
