VESA approves DisplayPort 1.1

No one will be able to escape the HDCP 1.3 infection, as it now became a mandatory part of DisplayPort with the version 1.1. A lot of users will not salute VESA's decision because in version 1.0 HDCP was only an option.

 


HDCP, interface capable of transmitting 10.8 Gigabits/sec unidirectional, with its low voltage and low power operation is going to replace DVI, and even maybe VGA (DSUB-15) in the near future.
