Just over four years since the launch

One of the biggest hardware review sites in the UK, TrustedReviews, has announced that they've been acquired by IPC Media, the UK's leading consumer magazine publisher.

IPC Media publishes some 80 magazines in various categories, but has lacked an online and IT publication presence apart from its Web User magazine. Paul Williams, the Managing Director of IPC Inspire said “IPC's strategic focus is to extend our digital footprint – and TrustedReviews is an excellent fit with our established technology brands and upscale men's interest portfolio. It leverages our strong brand equity and content in markets in the online space. Our business is all about great content, and that's at the heart of TrustedReviews.”

Hugh Chappell, the current Managing Director of TrustedReviews, will step down at the end of the year, but he will continue running Bit Publishing, which owns Bit-Tech. Riyad Emeran, the Editor-in-Chief, as well as the rest of the eight-man strong team will stay on.

As an ex-TrustedReviews employee I'd like to personally wish them all the best on their new venture.
