With over 17,000 signatures and growing

A petition has been started in an attempt to show Warner Brothers that at least some people care about Warner’s intention to switch HD formats. The goal of the petition is to try to get Warner to return to a format neutral stance.

While HD DVD seems to be getting bashed every place, the petition has been gaining some steam and has over 17,000 signatures at the time this story was published, and it continues to grow. A variety of HD DVD owners on the Web continue to blog about how unhappy they are over the Warner decision and the fact that HD DVD appears to be in trouble.

Many HD DVD owners seem to continue to direct their rage toward Sony after being burned by past Sony attempts to implement other format standards that Sony later abandoned.
