Virigin mobile caps 3G broadband in US

by on16 January 2011

Starting February
US mobile broadband provider Virgin mobile has announced that they will begin capping their once-unlimited 3G mobile broadband plan.

Starting February 15, Virgin mobile will begin throttling it's "Unlimited Broadband2Go" users if they surpass the 5GB data barrier in month's usage.  Virgin Mobile's unlimited 3G, $40-a-month plan instantly became one of the best deals on the market in mobile wireless when it was announced last August on a no-contract basis.

This move will leave only Sprint's 4G network to offer, all-you-can-eat broadband data in the US.
