Apple appoints enemy to push iAd

Adobe to kill Google

Fruity toymaker Apple has appointed a bloke from Adobe to sort out its mobile ad business.

Todd Teresi has been named to head Apple's iAd mobile-advertising business. Teresi, was the former vice president of Adobe's media solutions group, was brought in to lead Apple's mobile advertising platform.  Jobs' Mob has been taking a good kicking from Google's mobile ad business, despite the fact that it has locked in its users and thrown away the key.

The main problem is that Apple tends to charge users an arm and a leg for the privilege of advertising in its walled garden. Teresi, who only joined Adobe last year worked at Yahoo Inc for almost a decade. He is already on-board at Apple as the vice president of iAd. Apple is no friend of Adobe having campaigned to get its software replaced from the internet in favour of HTML5.
