Two versions coming

Elitegroup Computer Systems,
more commonly known as ECS, have announced its new G10IL notebook, or to be more precise, UMPC, since it will feature either a 10.2-inch or a smaller 8.9-inch display.

Besides display dimensions, Digitimes has managed to find out that this little thing will use Intel's 945 GSE + ICH7M chipset in combination with its Atom processor. The new UMPC will also come with HSDPA and HSUPA modem, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, 56kbps analog modem, WLAN, Bluetooth, a card reader and a 1.3Mpixel Web camera. The memory slots in this new ECS UMPC will support up to 2GB of memory, while storage options will use either SSD or a normal HDD, probably a 1.8-inch model.

According to Digitimes, the battery options will be between a 4 cell or a 6 cell, and the dimensions of ECS's UMPC will be 259x180x28.5mm (WxDxH). Unfortunately, the price of the G10IL is still unknown, but according to Digitimes, it will be priced sometime in April.
