$220 for Celeron PC

Shuttle USA has just started shipping a sub-$199 PC. When Newegg sells it, although for $220, you get the whole PC for very little money.

Shuttle calls this machine the KPC K-4500-RS and under the hood, the company ships an Intel Celeron 430 at 1.8 GHz, a G945 board with Intel GMA 950 graphics, 512MB DDR2 memory and an 80GB hard drive.

It currently comes in black and it doesn’t have any PCIe slot or a DVD/CD ROM bay.

Shuttle really wanted to save money on this machine and therefore, has decided to use Intel’s reference cooler, and we would like to see Shuttle’s famous heat pipe system as it tends to be much quieter.

Shuttle Europe will probably sell this for €199, but if they used the U.S. price the same machine would cost €138, a real bargin for quite a nice PC. It looks good for a $220 PC, but it will limit you to VGA and analog sound.

You can get one here.
