Smaller Geminii for HTPCs

During the CeBIT 2006 show, Cooler Master has launched a rather unique and impressive cooler called Geminii. Back then, everybody was questioning the performance of such large cooler as it almost covered half of the motherboard. Today, as confirmed by Cooler Master Balkan office, Cooler Master decided to launch a new, but smaller Geminii, which they call Geminii S.

The Geminii S is much smaller than its bigger brother. It comes with a single pre-fitted 120mm fan with the option to install either two 92mm fans or two 80mm fans, depending on your needs. It measures 124 x 120.8 x 75 mm and weighs 560g. It uses a copper base which is connected to the aluminum fins via five 6mm heatpipes.

The pre-installed 120mm fan spins at 1,000-2,000 RPM and produces 69.69CFM of airflow. The fan noise is rated at 17-21dBA, depending on the speed. The new Geminii S can be mounted on Intel's LGA775 and AMD's AM2/940/939/754 sockets.

The new Geminii looks decent, and Cooler Master markets it as a high performance low-profile cooler. The cooler should be available pretty soon, but unfortunately, the price is still unknown.
