So says the BSA

According to a report on Japan Probe which reports on finding from the BSA, three Eastern European countries are the biggest pirates in the world, but can you guess which three cuntries?

No, Sweden isn't in Eastern Europe and according to the report, Sweden is actually at the bottom of the scale at 26 per cent, sorry, the Piratebay logo doesn't really have anything to do with the story.

The leader is Armenia with 95 per cent, followed by Moldovia at 94 per cent and Azerbaijan also at 94 per cent. Oddly enough, forth on the list is Zimbabwe at 91 per cent followed by Vietnam at 88 per cent.

This is apparently the install base of pirated software on computers in these countries. The good old US of A only has 21 per cent of pirated software on its computers, but this sounds like the BSA talking out of their... well, let's leave it at that. This is apparently the lowest rate of pirated software anywhere in the world as well, as if...

New Zealand is the only other country under 25 per cent, at 22 per cent, followed by Japan at exactly 25 per cent alongside with Denmark. Then we have Austria, Switzerland and Sweden in a tie at 26 per cent.

I really wonder where the BSA gets this information from, as I for one haven't told them what I'm using on my PC, not that I would be using any illegal software, which might be why I'm still using Windows XP and won't be upgrading to Vista anytime soon.
