Featuring Iris Plus Graphics 655 IGP

According to a fresh report, all Intel's new NUCs will come with Iris Plus Graphics 655 IGP with 128MB of eDRAM.

As reported last year and now confirmed by a leaked slide from Fanlesstech.com, Intel will be putting higher 28W TDP chips in its newest NUC lineup, including the Core i7-8559U, Core i5-5259U, and the Core i3-8109U.

The best part of the story is that all new Coffee Lake NUCs, codename Bean Canyon, will feature Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 IGP which will pack 128MB of eDRAM, giving it a bit more chance to provide at least some casual gaming. In Core i5 and Core i3 options, Iris Plus Graphics 655 will work between 300MHz and 1.05GHz, while in the Core i7, it will boost up to 1.2GHz.

The "high-end" offer is the Core i7-8559U, which is a quad-core with Hyper-Threading, featuring 8MB of cache and up to 4.5GHz clock. The Core i5-8259U is also a quad-core chip with Hyper-Threading but has 6MB of cache and lower 3.8GHz clock. The Core i3-8109U is a dual-core chip with enabled Hyper-Threading, 4MB of cache, and up to 3.6GHz clock.

The new Intel NUCs with Core i5 and Core i3 chips will also be available in "BEK" options without 2.5-inch SATA3 bay and measuring at 117x112x36mm, while the Core i7 option will only be available as "BEH" option with 2.5-inch 9.5mm SATA3 bay and port, which will leave it slightly thicker at 117x112x51mm.
