You probably know what Folding@Home is all about, and recently we were contacted by a friend of ours, to join his team and help a noble cause.

Scott Sherman of Bjorn3D has organized a contest, named in honor of his daughter, Stephanie, who is battling cancer. The grand prize is a GTX 285, signed by Jen-Hsun Huang, Nvidia founder and CEO. This shouldn't be your motivation though, helping scientific research which could eventually yield a cure for a number of serious conditions.

There's a few more prizes to grab, and you can find out more about the contest here. If you're a vendor, retailer or whatnot, and are willing to help out with some prizes of your own, get in touch with Scott for more info.

Here's what you need to do to join the effort, but hurry, as it's only going to run in February.

1. Fold for Bjorn3D Team 41608.

2. If you Folding handle is Rob for the month Fold under a new name for the as Rob-Stephanie.

3. This will let people checking the team stats see your are Folding for Scott's daughter.

4. Register on Bjorn3D forums with you normal name with out -Stephanie and make at least 2 posts so the guys can notify you if you win.

We wish Stephanie the best of luck in her fight with Hodgkins, and hope folding will help kids like her all over the world. Hang in there.
