Torchwood and Dr Who fans rejoice

In a move that proves that the British television shows Torchwood and Dr Who are fact, Google Earth has filmed Cardiff's temporal rift in action. The rift, which is a central plot device in the popular scifi shows, causes distortions in time and space in Cardiff's former Victorian docklands.

Now Google Earth has filmed a ghostly woman dressed in long skirt, crisp blouse, bow tie, blue boater hat and scarf appears shimmering above the pavement. Dressed in Victorian clothes the woman appears to be within spitting distance of the sculpture which is the entrance to Torchwood headquarters and the favourite landing spot of Dr Who's Tardis.

Locals have been swift to claim she was a ghost, Tiger Bay, Cardiff was the scene of murders and unsolved mysteries going back 200 years. The old docklands has been redeveloped with a theatre, waterside restaurants and plush apartments.

However local historians point out that if the woman was a ghost she would have been floating above the water when she was murdered as she is in the heart of Tiger Bay. It is therefore more likely she is a by-product of Cardiff's temporal rift. By the way don't ever blink while looking at a statue.
