Just like ordinary people

The world's richest monarch, the Queen of England has been presented with a gold plated Nintendo Wii by the publisher THQ. (I thought Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej was the richest, with $35bn. sub.ed.)

If you can imagine her Royal Highness wiggling in a hola hoop game, you really need help, although we could imagine her boxing with Prince Phillip. Encased in gold the WII is accompanied by a copy of the company's latest family-friend release, BIG Family Games.

THQ product manager Danielle Robinson said that the outfit thought that Her Majesty the Queen wouldn't want to play on any old console, so an extra-special gold one was commissioned.

Apparently Barack Obama had a Wii in the White House, presumably to get rid of the pervasive Dick Cheney smell.
