A new Linux based smart phone will not be released unto
next year, according to the Palm.
Palm had expected that a Linux based phone would roll out
before the end of the year. However according to VNUNet, Palm now says the software
won't reach consumers until next year.
Currently Palm uses Windows mobile and Palm OS platforms,
and the company says it will continue to do so for the rest of 2007. Palm's Linux software will replace the Palm OS 5 software
that primarily appeals to consumers and small business users.
