Will come to U.S. and European markets

Sega appears to finally given into the demands from gamers in the West asking the Japanese only title Yakuza 3 be localized so that it can be enjoyed by those outside of Japan. Our sources tell us localization of Yakuza 3 has been started for the PlayStation 3.

While previously Yakuza 2 was announced for the North American market at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show, for some reason that remains unknown it never arrived. While sources tell us that the conversion and localization project has already been started, it will not be finished till early next year, at which time it is expected to be released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in North America as well as Europe.

Our source also says that we should expect Sega to officially announce that Yakuza 4 is in development for release next year. As to which platforms Yakuza 4 will be completed for, we believe it is a safe bet that it will arrive for PlayStation 3, and less likely that you will see a conversion for the Xbox 360.
