Palm pushes out another workaround

Hot on the heels of the big 1.2.0 webOS upgrade, Palm is already releasing version 1.2.1. It came as no surprise to us that the iTunes sync was not in the 1.2.0 firmware release; after all, Palm did get smacked on the wrist over the way that they were able to achieve it last time around. Of course, Palm was not going to leave well enough alone, and the company again is providing the support for iTunes that webOS users want.

According to Palm, the 1.2.1 webOS update for Palm devices “resolves an issue preventing media sync from working with the latest version of iTunes”, but that is not all. From what we are hearing 1.2.1 also fixes a problem that stopped Exchange 2007 support from working. Also, 1.2.1 is supporting some photo optimization, as well, which is new when compared to previous versions of the webOS.

Palm users seem pleased that the fixes are coming out on a regular basis and are adding a variety of fixes mixed in with some new features. The majority of the Pre owners that we talk with seem pleased with the device and find it to be very good overall.

You should be able to download the 1.2.1 update by checking for the latest update using your webOS device.
