Casio has announced two new cameras which feature a YouTube video mode and some bundled software for them "to provide ideal settings for recording, storing and uploading video" whatever that means. I have to admit this is a great idea, enthusiasts probably won't be impressed, but it might turn out to be a great marketing tool.

Both models are powered by the EXILIM Engine 2.0 image processing module, featuring face recognition. More importantly for the movie mode, it uses an electronic image stabilization function. YouTube Capture Mode allows users to shoot movies at the optimum size, quality and other settings for uploading to YouTube.

The very thin Casio Exilim Card EX-S880 has 8.1 megapixels, 3x zoom and a 2.8in widescreen display with an immense 1,000 cd/m2 at the center of the display. The EX-S880 is available in red and black with a MSRP of $299.99.
