NF-P14 FLX testifies exceptional craftsmanship

A significant
majority of consumers and manufacturers in the PC hardware cooling and performance industry recognize the Vienna-based fan specialists at Noctua as providers of superior cooling solutions when the silence-performance ratio becomes top priority in design. For many enthusiasts, the journey to achieving high performance usually always consists of achieving the highest overclocks, the highest voltages, and unfortunately using the loudest system fans. Thankfully, there are several companies who recognize those wishful thinking consumers who prefer this practical combination  for more serene satisfaction.

The Noctua NF-P14 is the company’s new 140mm mammoth that follows footsteps similar to the highly acclaimed NF-P12 120mm series, only in a noticeably larger design. Among the latest design aspects are features including a psycho-acoustically optimized nine-blade impeller with staggered Vortex-Control Notches, Metal Reinforcements, and a premium-grade SSO-Bearing design. In specific, this fan measures in at 140x25x140mm (DxWxH) and operates on 1.2W of input power at 12V.

In terms of airflow, the NF-P14 is capable of pushing a maximum of around 64.92CFM of air at 19.6dBa with 1200RPM. Using the Low-Noise Attachment (L.N.A.), the fan can push around 49.26CFM of air at 13.2dBa with 900RPM. Using the Ultra-Low-Noise Attachment (U.L.N.A.), the fan can push around 41.91CFM of air at 10.1dBa with 750RPM. Overall, this new model is a solid piece of engineering artisanship and deserves to be considered for case mounting and other useful consumer applications.

"As more and more cases and coolers support 140mm fans, we've been receiving an increased amount of customer requests for a premium grade quiet fan in this size", explains Mag. Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO. "After more than 18 months of development and optimisation, we're proud to respond to this demand with the new NF-P14 FLX. Supporting both 120mm and 140mm mounting, the NF-P14 FLX will not only satisfy those looking for a reference class 140mm fan but also forms an ideal upgrade for 120mm case and CPU fans."
