Movie Station HD1000 for €99

MSI has entered the increasingly popular affordable media player market with the Movie Station HD 1000, capable of reproducing 1080p content. Numerous manufacturers have flooded the market with similar devices over the past months and most of them are on the cheap side and lack advanced features.

The Movie Station HD1000 has network, USB and card reader ports for external storage and can be connected to the TV via either an HDMI port or composite/component outputs. Most importantly, it features 1080p support, while most similar products stick to 1080i or standard definition video. The rest of the features include an remote controller, SPDIF port and a rather elegant, simplistic design that will fit in just about any living room.

Considering its 154x116x28 dimensions and 385g weight, it looks like a great deal, but the €99 price tag might be a bit high as similar devices can be found for around €80. According to what we managed to find out this one will only be available in Germany and possibly some select EU markets, but the rest of the world probably won't see it.

Here are some pictures of the new MSI Movie Station HD1000.
