Cebit 2009: A can that won't get you pulled over

Hall 19 at Cebit was host to many exhibitors from Shenzhen, a city in south of China that’s considered one of the fastest growing markets in the world, and the fact that last 30 years saw over 12 million people move in here speaks for itself. We met up with ShenZhen MaoRun Electric Co., Ltd to see what the company has to offer.

We found the beer-can shaped power adapter to be quite appealing for some reason (Beer can? Some reason? sub.ed), and while we don’t know who came up with the idea, we still like the fact that it will charge your laptop while driving. What you see on the picture is not a Bud but rather a small DC-AC 180W inverter with a USB port for charging. It draws power from the car’s lighter socket, and when the cable is inside it looks like a true beer can.

Also, it costs only 12 dollars, which is slightly more than an actual can of beer.

The new design is 75W power inverter found on the photo below. It comes with a USB port and a universal socket, and costs only $7.35.

Below you’ll find one of the best selling models with 150W of juice, and it costs only $10.
