Transformer Prime available, sort of

by on03 January 2012

In UK and US

While consumers in most countries can only dream of buying a Transformer Prime tablet, the latest search over at our favorite price engine has revealed that Britain has some. You can find them listed and available here.

We are talking about the model with the docking station, creatively branded as DockingStation, with 32GB of memory. Currently Curry and Dixons have them available for £499 and that translates to €598.69 at the current exchange rate. The full name of the model, if someone asks or Google’s it, is ASUS EeePad Transformer Prime Tablet PC with Docking Station - 32GB, Grey.

Furthermore, if you go to US Amazon and look for the Transformer Prime, Amazon doesn’t have it, but some resellers have the plain version sans docking station available for a just under $700, here.

It’s not exactly what we would call a great price, but if you want it badly you can get it. German speaking countries still have to see an official launch of Transformer Prime tablet, but let’s hope that this will take place in the next few weeks.

Tegra 3 products are slowly coming to retail / etail, in very early 2012, but we have yet to see any major announcements.
