Asus launches 15.6-incher with Retina class display

Asus has quietly introduced a new Zenbook with a twist. Unlike previous Zenbook ultrabooks that tended to feature 1080p screens in high-end SKUs, the new UX51 boasts a 2880x1620 pixel display.

With a display like that, it’s no wonder that the rest of the spec sheet looks equally impressive. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Core i7-3632QM quad-core, backed by Nvidia GT 650M graphics. It has 8 gigs of RAM, along with a massive 512MB SSD.

Of course, all this can’t come cheap and it costs €1999, although a cheaper SKU with 256GB of storage is available for €1699.
