Asus shores up relationship with Google

Will make the new Nexus tablet?

After announcing that it was pulling the plug on its Windows RT tablets, Asus appears to have shored up its relationship to Google and will make its next Nexus.

The company manufactured both the original Nexus 7 and the redesign of the gadget brought out a couple of weeks back. However we wonder if this had been a done deal if Windows tablets had been successful. The first Nexus 10 was manufactured by Samsung, but Google opens up bidding to different manufacturing companies during planning stages of the Nexus devices. Obviously being too close to Microsoft might have been the decider.

The new Nexus 10 will be released in time for the Christmas market and be targeted for the consumer market. There has so far been no confirmation of any new features for the next version of the Google Nexus 10. Its predecessor came with a 2560x1600 display, 1.9-megapixel front camera and 16GB/32GB of memory.
