Tegra Note 7 to get Gamestream support

by on01 November 2013

Stylus and Gamestream can give it an edge

Tegra Note 7 is coming on November 12th in the US and Europe should probably not be far behind. We managed to get a few more details about it, shedding more light on just how Nvidia hopes to differentiate its first tablet in an already overcrowded market.

This native Android tablet should get Gamestream support, something that you can only experience on Nvidia Shield. This is something that will give Tegra Note 7 a competitive edge in some circles, as it’s something that no other tablet manufacture can offer.

Gamestream will let you play your Geforce games on your tablet and since these tablets support game controllers and even keyboards via USB, you should be able to play the games quite well in your living room. Bear in mind that this is a 7-inch tablet, which means it is relatively light and compact, which should be perfect for long gaming sessions. However, it’s also a 1280x800 device and we suspect many gamers would like to see a 1080p panel.

We are not sure if console mode comes to Tegra Note 7, but we would not be surprised. It has HDMI so it should be possible. The Tegra Note 7 stylus support is also something that differentiates it from the Nexus 7 and makes it price competitive with Samsung Note 8, another tablet with stylus support.

With Gamestream support and good and responsive pen, Nvidia is giving this device a fighting chance. It will be interesting to see it in action and Nvidia hopes that it can make a good impact on some markets where Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle tablets are not directly available.

It will attack some huge markets such as Russia and India with hope for success. We will have to wait and see how it goes.
