Watching the watchers

MSI have included eye tracking functionality in its latest gaming laptop.

According to Neo-Win the MSI GT72S G Tobii is supposed to be the first-of-its-kind to use the technology in its already heavy weight spec.

Tobii Eye Tracking Technology, dubbed EyeX, allows the user to switch targets, or pick up objects in game, or even pause it by looking at something else.

The list of actual games which use the tech includes Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Rogue, ArmA III, Elite Dangerous, and the yet to be released The Division. So, not that many.

But MSI and Tobii state the technology will allow for enhanced streams through supported platforms like XSplit Gamecaste. This means that viewers can see the streamer's perspective, under any lighting. Windows Hello is also supported through the EyeX.

It is also a key to providing computer access to severely disabled people. You can move the cursor and double click with a blink.
The rest of the spec is based around an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M 8 GB GDDR5, an Intel Core i7 6820HK @ 2.90 GHz. IT has 32 GB Memory, a 1 TB HDD + 256 GB SSD, 17.3" 4K display

The Full HD version will set you back $3762 on New Egg which certainly made us blink.
