Razer updates its Blade Stealth notebook

by on15 June 2017

Less bezel and more screen, new color

Razer has been quite proud of its notebook lineup and keeps on upgrading and updating them with new hardware but today, it has made some different updates, giving it a slimmer bezel, and thus more screen real estate, as well as a more stealthy color option.

The biggest update is the new 13.3-inch screen which has been packed in the same chassis, which means that bezels were shrunk by 50 percent. The display is based on a 3200x1800 resolution IGZO multi-touch panel with 400nits of brightness and 100 percent sRGB color coverage.

Hardware-wise, the new Razer Stealth is still based on the same Core i7-7500U CPU, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. It still has the anti-ghosting backlit keyboard, Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) and two USB 3.0 ports, Killer Wireless-AC 1535 (802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.1) and a 53.6Wh battery.

Another update is the new Gunmetal color option which replaces the green logo with a more subtle one and gives the Stealth a bit more business look rather than make it scream "gamer".

Since all models rely on Intel HD Graphics 620 iGPU, Razer suggests that Stealth is paired up with its own Blade Core external graphics dock, which costs US $499.99 when bundled with the Stealth.

The older 12.5-inch 4K/UHD Stealth is also available and starts at US $1,399.99 with Core i5 CPU, touch-screen and 512GB of SSD storage and US $899.99 for a non-touch version with 128GB of storage, while the new 13.3-inch QHD+ version starts also at US $1,399.99 with Core i5 CPU and 256GB of SSD storage.
