Will arrive in time for the holiday season

Ubisoft has finally confirmed some of the whispers that we have been hearing the last two weeks when they announced the next chapter in the Ghost Recon franchise. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier will be the same for the latest installment that is expected to arrive for this holiday season. (Our sources seem to think that it will be slated for a November release, at the earliest.)

Development of Ghost Recon Future Soldier is being handled by the same team in Paris that created both Advanced Warfighter and Advanced Warfighter 2. While the game will have a focus on cutting edge weapon prototypes and weapon technology, the game will be rooted in attempting to be on the bleeding edge with a state of the art design and game play. The game will feature both single player as well as multiplayer modes.

The game will be arriving for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC and a Wii dubbed down version is also expected, but it may not be known by the same name. Those Xbox 360 owners that are interested in the game might want to pick up a copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction, which is an Xbox 360 exclusive, and for a limited time will include an invite for the multiplayer beta on the Xbox 360 that is expected to start some time this summer. The multiplayer beta will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 and getting a copy of Splinter Cell: Conviction with the invite in it is the only way that you will be assured access to the beta.
