Turn 10 Studios, the developers behind Forza 3, announced during the Microsoft Press conference that they are working on a Kinect specific spin on Forza for a 2011 release. News that the studio was working on something new and different has been bubbling for some time, but beyond knowing that it was something outside of normal Forza development, no one really seemed to know what it was.

From our understanding, the title will use the Forza name and branding but will be a Kinect spin on Forza pushing the motion controller device in a new direction for a driving title. Besides using driving movements to control the car, players will be able to walk around the car and inspect it and even look under the hood if they wish.

It is scheduled for a 2011 release; expect the name to have Forza in it, but expect more specifics on the name later this year or early next year.
