One of Battlefield 3’s game play designers is listening to the players’ feedback suggesting that the guns and gun attachments need some tweaking. Alan Kertz does not claim that the all of the feedback will make it into a patch in the future, but it is clear that DICE is considering additional tweaks. Of course, they are not saying this will make it into a future patch or that there will be an update; currently, this is just discussion to see where things lead.

Kertz provides significant information on how the guns and their accessories work and what the actual numbers look like as a point of reference. For those serious about playing Battlefield 3, it seems to make a lot of sense when you really think about it.
