LocoCycle becomes Xbox One launch title

by on10 June 2013

360 version in development for later release

In a move that actually is a bit surprising, Twisted Pixel has confirmed that their title, LocoCycle, that was unveiled at E3 in 2012 as an Xbox Live Arcade title for the Xbox 360 will now be an Xbox Live Marketplace digital download launch title for the Xbox One.

While Twisted Pixel has not commented on the decision to go this direction, the point is obvious. The studio did announce that the Xbox 360 version of the game is still in development and will be released at a later date. As for when this later date will be for the Xbox 360 release, they apparently had no additional information to share at this time. (We suspect that it will be after the first of the year, unless sales are exceptionally good for the Xbox One version.)

LocoCycle comes from developer, Twisted Pixel, who is best known for the games Splosion Man, Ms. Splosion Man, and The Gunstringer. The game stars a motorcycle that becomes self-aware and drags its engineer into all sorts of trouble. The announced Xbox One version of the game will take advantage of the system to deliver LocoCycle at 1080p running at 60fps.
