Titanfall release date confirmed

by on23 October 2013

$249 Collector’s Edition announced

Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have confirmed that perhaps the biggest release announcement for Xbox One, Titanfall will be release on March 11th in North America and March 14th in Europe. In addition to the Xbox One release, the game will also be coming for Xbox 360 and PC as well.

Since the announcement of Titanfall and its exclusivity for the Microsoft platforms, the game which comes from the new studio Respawn which was founded by former Infinity Ward members Jason West and Vince Zampella has had an excellent buzz and appears to be one of the biggest titles announced so far for Microsoft’s Xbox One. Respawn has been blown away by the reaction to Titanfall and is looking forward to delivering an experience that will equal the hype.

Beyond the release date announcement, a Titanfall Collector’s Edition was also announced. The $249 Collector’s Edition will include a hand-crafted 18 inch collectable titan statue diorama with battery powered LED lighting. A 190 page art book that contains rare concept art for the game and a full size schematic poster of the Atlas titan is also part of the package. We expect quantities to be somewhat limited even at the $249 price tag so you will want to get your pre-order in as soon as possible

Living up to the hype is difficult for many titles, but in the case of Titanfall the bar has been set pretty high. So far Respawn has been able to respond with game play videos and showings of the title that indicate that the hype is well deserved. The big question is how will players respond to the title, but so far it would seem that Respawn will deliver a unique experience that players want to play. Now if March would only get here a little quicker.
