Forza Horizon 2 to arrive in September

by on31 January 2014

Suspect it to be an Xbox One-only release

As we had told you about previously, Forza Horizon 2 has been in development at Playground Games. While we suspected it to release yet this year, it is only now that we know it is apparently tentatively scheduled for a September release. It is suspected that it will be an Xbox One only release, as the talk is that the game runs at 1080p, as does Forza 5.

We are hearing that Horizon will feature some new additions to this open world racer, such as the ability to road trip with your friends and a large number of co-op missions. Horizon will have an even deeper focus on the social interaction stuff which was so popular in the first Horizon.

The open world in the game is rumored to be much larger than what we saw in the first Forza Horizon, and Horizon 2 will introduce an all new dynamic weather system to go with the day/night stuff that we saw in the first game.

We are still expecting an E3 announcement for this one, but you never know.
