Affected by Titanfall launch day outage?

by on07 April 2014

Microsoft to give 7 day Gold extension

Microsoft is going to be giving Xbox One users who were affected by the Titanfall launch day outage a 7 day extension to their Xbox Live Gold subscriptions for the inconvenience. Many Xbox One users were not able to login into their Xbox Live accounts on Titanfall launch day and as a result were unable to play Titanfall.

While Microsoft has never really clarified the reason the issue occurred, the company said at the time that the inability to login into your Xbox Live account didn’t have anything to do with Titanfall. Since the outage, the company has never really clarified the actual root cause of the problem.

The company has sent out messages to those affected apologizing for the problem and letting users know of the free additional seven days of Xbox Live Gold that they will be giving users for their inconvenience. Apparently only users that were affected on March 11th will be getting the subscription extensions.
