Forza Horizon 2 isn’t the same game on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms. While they are inspired by the same ideas, Ralph Fulton from Playground Games says “It’s based on the same world, it’s based on the same themes.”

The bottom line is that they are different games on both platforms. Some features such as the dynamic weather system and Drivatars are simply Xbox One exclusive and are honestly not possible to on the Xbox 360 version of the game.

While we think that the game will share a lot of the same things, it will be a bit different on both platforms which is really no surprise as we would expect the Xbox One version to take advantage of the abilities of the Xbox One. It will be released on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on September 30th in North America and October 3rd in Europe.
