The mobile team at DICE has been working on converting Frostbite to iOS. Right now they have a Battlefield 4 technology demo up and running on iOS. This is made possible by the new Apple Metal graphics low level API. Still there is a lot to do and nothing is apparently decided just yet on where it goes from here.

Right now there are no plans to port Battlefield 4 to iOS. There is still a long way to go to optimize Frostbite for iOS, but the results so far look pretty impressive. In the mean time it appears that the mobile team will continue to work on it, but it is hard to say what the future might hold for Frostbite on iOS.
