Xbox One updates to continue in February

More ability to customize your home screen

Microsoft plans to start the next round of update to the Xbox One in February. The plans for the February pack of updates include a number of updates, but perhaps the biggest news is the addition of “tile transparency” which allows you to see more of your custom background.

The new update will also bring the new “Game Hubs” which collate stays on your progress through a game, leaderboards, Achievement info, DLC details and Twitch video from your friends and the community.

A new trending tab will be a welcome addition to those who use their Xbox One with cable TV or the console’s TV tuner. The trending tab will show you which shows are currently the most popular to make watching decisions easier if you just can’t figure out what to watch.

A new feature will allow the streaming of a live TV stream to your Windows Phone or Android, but only if you happen to have the TV Tuner peripheral, which is currently only available outside North America.
