75MHz short of RV770PRO speed

We found
out that in October AMD will launch the RV770LE which is expected to be clocked at 550MHz. Since the specification is still not fixed and in order to reach performance targets, the core clock might even end up at 600MHz. ATI will also cut the Shader numbers from the original 800 in the RV770 to 480 in the RV770LE.

The memory bandwidth is being cut from 256-bit to 192-bits while surprisingly the memory speed stays at the same 993MHz. ATI hopes to hit 1,700 points in 3Dmark Vantage and let me remind you that the RV770PRO scores around 3,000 points in the same test. We can bet that the LE card will be cheaper and that many OEM and system integrators will be going for such a card.
