Yet another G92

Nvidia's current graphics roadmap is a complete mess. The big graphics giant renamed so many cards and the endless numbers of products on the market are now based on G92.

The Geforce 9600GSO is no exception, and this is a reworked 8800GS card with a new name that should fight the soon-to-launch RV730-based Radeon 4670. Currently, Geforce 9600GSO sells for €80+ and in order to be price competitive with the Radeon 4670, Nvidia will have to drop the price a bit lower.

Today you can buy Geforce 8800GT, 8800GS, 9600GSO, 9800GT, 9800GTX and a few other variations, all based on the good old G92 chip. You simply have to know when to stop and until Nvidia gets a real new mainstream chip on the market, ATI will clearly have bigger chances.
