The XFX going ATI has raised a lot of questions and it revoked the old claim that EVGA did, indeed, talk to ATI at some point. We can confirm from many different sources that this never happened and EVGA’s Boss Andrew Han is probably the most loyal guy when it comes to Nvidia.

Industry insiders do know that K. Y. Ho, the previous CEO and President of ATI, was a good friend of K.D., the head of Sapphire, and Nvidia never managed to get a Sapphire-branded card. Since PC partner the big company behind Sapphire wanted to do Nvidia, they created Zotac as a brand to carry Nvidia.

Andrew Hahn has the same bond with Nvidia, as he loves, respects and gets a lot of support from Nvidia, all based on the company's great success in the U.S. market. EVGA is still number one in the U.S. and Nvidia likes to support such guys.
